Technology never stops.
There is now a new substitute for wood, which is made from banana fibers.
A French company has started to use banana skins and banana trees to make laminated flooring and other types of furniture.
Its use has many advantages: the plants grow quickly, the manufacturing process is 100% natural, and photovoltaic energy is used to produce it.
The result is a material, which is as resistant and versatile as wood, and which offers an alternative to deforestation.
Let us save our trees. Let us go banana.
