There is an island in Senegal that is worth visiting.
Nas Daily discovers that houses in Joal Fadiouth are made of seashells.
An 800-year-old tree is also found there.
But what’s more interesting are the 8,000 people living there.
“Those people are made up of Christians and Muslims who live together in peace,” Nas says. “They pray in a church and in a mosque. They hangout together under an 800-year-old baobab tree and they bury their dead next to each other.”
This has to be one of my favorite islands:It's all made of seashells everywhere…even the floor. The cemetery has baobab trees in the middle and the graves are made of seashellsAnd the people living there are a fine example of co-existence between Muslims and Christians.Who would have thought? This is all off the coast of Senegal at the Island of Joal Fadiouth in Senegal!
