Jakarta, Indonesia needs your help.
This megacity is fighting to keep its head above water.
Climate Reality says Jakarta is sinking up to 25 centimeters every year.
It was built on swampy land and 13 rivers that run through the city cause frequent floods.
At the same time, authorities only supply 40 percent of the city’s water needs leaving residents no other choice but to draw water from deep underground.
This activity makes the city sink further.
Now, almost half of Jakarta is already below sea level.
It is estimated that by 2050, 95 percent of North Jakarta would be under water.
Jakarta is home to 10 million people.
What can the world do to help them? What can you do to help?
