Acting Abra Governor Russell Bragas created a task force to combat the rampant entry and selling of undocumented hot meat/frozen meat in the province.
Bragas signed Executive Order No.19-2025 or the Task Force Hot Meat/Frozen Meat to protect the consuming public and the Abra’s agricultural sector particularly the livestock raisers.
“I issued EO no. 19-2025 creating the Task Force hot meat/ frozen meat to end illegal entry and proliferation of frozen meat in Abra,” the acting governor said.
“This is to safeguard Abrenios from health hazard and the welfare of livestock raisers in the province.”

“Hot meat” are carcasses or parts thereof of food animals that is sold, transported, distributed, offered or received for distribution in commerce that has not passed through ante-mortem inspection. On the other hand, “frozen meat” refers to meat that has been preserved by freezing to extend its shelf life.
The task force recently convened to address the pressing concerns about the spread of these undocumented hot meat/frozen meat in the province.
“We should totally stop the entry and proliferation of these undocumented hot meat and frozen meat in the Abra.”
In the meeting, Bragas, as the Chairperson of the Trask Force, issued the marching order of totally stopping the entry and proliferation of these undocumented hot meat and frozen meat in the Abra.
He set the medium to long term goal of this task force to ensure strict implementation of relevant issuances and ordinance and continuous monitoring of each meat product entering our borders-to ensure that every Abreño is safe.
