4Ps Party-list Representative Nonoy Libanan filed a resolution in the House of Representatives congratulating and commending eight-division world boxing champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao for his performance in his recent fight against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.
In House Resolution No. 59, Libanan said Pacquiao’s return to the ring and his courageous showing against a younger, reigning world champion reaffirmed his enduring stature as a Filipino icon and global sports legend.

“His latest fight, regardless of the outcome, stands as a powerful reminder that the Filipino can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world — driven not just by skill, but by grit, grace, and love of country,” the seasoned lawmaker added.
His resolution also emphasizes the broader significance of Pacquiao’s journey from poverty to prominence.
