CO-PILAR CALLS HREP PERSONNEL ‘PRESENT-DAY HEROES’

Quezon City Representative Ma. Victoria Co-Pilar paid tribute to the workforce of the House of Representatives (HRep), calling them present-day heroes for their perseverance, hard work and concern for the people.

Speaking at the HRep flag-raising ceremony, Co-Pilar said that people who are diligent, persevering and caring are also heroes.

The veteran legislator stressed that HRep personnel are integral to enabling congressmen to perform their mandate as lawmakers.

Co-Pilar said she was giving attention and tribute to the House workforce as they are not being accorded much importance despite serving as the strong foundation of the legislature and the heroes of the House of Representatives.

As a lawmaker, Co-Pilar said she personally witnessed how important the contributions of the secretariat and congressional employees, from providing assistance in committee hearings and plenary sessions to the finalization of their proposed measures into laws down to the processing of their administrative requirements.

The Congressional Planning and Budget Research Department under Deputy Secretary General Dr. Romulo Miral Jr. hosted the flag-raising ceremony.
