BOHOL TO GET ‘GOOD NEWS’ FROM PSA IN OCTOBER

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) team headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Jessamyn Anne Alcazaren, Supervising Statistical Specialist Emmanuel Galab, and Statistical Analyst Fiel Rose Tacan paid a courtesy visit to Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado at the Capitol.

The team presented updates on the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), including preliminary results, the recent conduct of training orientations, and agreements on data turnover between PSA and Bohol municipalities.

“The presentation will bring good news for Bohol.”

They also announced the upcoming presentation of the Provincial Private Account (PPA) on October 7, an event that will be conducted simultaneously across provinces nationwide. PSA hinted that the presentation would bring “good news” for Bohol.

Aumentado expressed appreciation for the invitations to PSA’s upcoming major events

that highlight Bohol’s standing in the national inflation and statistics landscape.

“The decline in the inflation rate was mainly driven by the lower prices of milled rice and corn.”

The PSA also recently held its monthly inflation press conference.

Data revealed that the decline in the inflation rate was driven by the lower prices of milled rice and corn compared to last year. However, increases were seen in electricity, water, transportation, diesel, and gasoline.

The governor commended PSA’s consistent efforts in providing up-to-date statistical data and insights, noting the importance of these reports in understanding and addressing the province’s economic conditions.
