MAYOR ISKO BARES PLAN TO REPAINT MANILA CITY HALL

Manila’s iconic City Hall is about to get a fresh coat of history, as Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso revealed plans to repaint it in the same color as the National Museum.

The idea was shared during a visit by National Museum Director General Jeremy Barns to the Mayor’s office.

During their discussion, Domagoso proposed the color scheme to bring a sense of uniformity to Manila’s government structures, drawing inspiration from cities like Washington, D.C.

Boysen Paint will provide the materials needed to repaint and give City Hall a fresh new look.

The mayor said that Boysen Paint will provide the materials needed to repaint and give City Hall a fresh new look.

“Kung ano ang kulay ng National Museum, gusto ko ganun din ang kulay ng city hall, para un visual eh may uniformity, mga government buildings pare-pareho, parang Washington, ‘yung government buildings pare-pareho, kaya alam mo kung ano yung  government buildings,” he explained.

“We will be happy to help.”

Barns welcomed the initiative, saying, “We will be happy to help.”

Domagoso also expressed his gratitude to the private sector for its continued support to the city government, both in cash and in kind, noting that such contributions have been a big help in easing the city’s financial challenges.

He added that this effort is part of his ongoing campaign to “Make Manila Great Again”.
