House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III just past midnight on Friday thanked members of the House of Representatives, employees of the chamber, and government agencies for their dedication and long hours that allowed the chamber to complete the sponsorships and plenary debates on the proposed P6.3-trillion 2026 national budget.
“Buong puso akong nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng kasamahan natin dito sa Kamara, lalo na sa mga empleyado na walang sawang nagtrabaho,” said the leader of the House.
Dy reiterated the House’s commitment to an open and transparent budget process.
“Ilang araw tayong nag-overtime, may mga pagkakataong umabot hanggang alas-tres ng umaga ang ating sesyon, pero hindi natin ito ininda dahil ang hangarin natin ay maisagawa ang masinsinan at bukas na deliberasyon.”
The Speaker also acknowledged the representatives of national government agencies who participated in the sessions to assist agency budget sponsors explain their budgets and respond to questions from lawmakers.
“Salamat din sa lahat ng mga kinatawan ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno. Ang inyong kooperasyon at tulong ay napakahalaga sa ating proseso,” he added.

Dy reiterated the House’s commitment to an open and transparent budget process, citing the initiative of Appropriations Committee Chair and Nueva Ecija 1st District Rep. Mikaela Suansing, who ensured that deliberations of the 2026 budget were more publicly accessible through efforts like the live-streamed meetings of the Budget Amendments Review Sub-committee.
According to the Speaker, “makakaasa ang ating mga kababayan na mananatiling bukas at transparent ang ating proseso.”
“Sinabi ko po nung ako’y nahalal bilang Speaker, sisiguraduhin natin na ang bawat sentimo na paglalaanan ng budget sa bawat ahensya ay tutugma sa mga pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan. Itutuloy po namin na pagtulungan makapagpasa ng isang bukas, maayos, at malinis na budget.”
