Fashion designers, makeup artists, hairstylists, and accessory makers from the different parts of Bulacan convened to flaunt their industry’s vibrant culture in OBRA: Optimizing Bulacan’s Rich Artistry – The Bulacan Creative Industries Showcase featuring Fashion and Arts at Vista Mall Malolos.
The event, which coincided with the celebration of the Philippine Creative Industries Month and World Tourism Day, was organized by The Novaura Centre in partnership with the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO) of the Provincial Government of Bulacan with a goal of strengthening the creative sector.
PHACTO OIC Department Head May Arlene Torres said OBRA is more than just a performance for creatives but a platform to show support for all artists and entrepreneurs in the province.
The event also featured The Novaura Centre’s 8 Years of Grandeur: Graduation Fashion Show where the graduates of their modelling center showcased their gained confidence and passion for the craft.
Kenny Delos Santos, the president of The Novaura Centre, shared how a simple dream of having a modelling academy in the province is now helping Bulakenyo youth to maximize their full potential.
“We started in 2017. Nagsimula lang po kami sa simpleng pangarap na mag-develop ng mga kabataang Bulakenyo to help them maximize their potentials and definitely achieve their goals in life. So the entirety of our goal is really more on personality development, and with the eight years na nagdaan I think we have proven ourselves to be the premier modeling academy and finishing school for pageantry in Bulacan,” Delos Santos shared.
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando on the other hand, said that the event reflects how Bulacan is not just a center of history in the country but also the heart of arts and culture.
Meanwhile, The Novaura Centre has announced that their academy will open another cycle in October.
