The former Angeles City Mayor and now Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. said following the release of the final list of eligible LGUs for the grant of F.Y. 2023 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for officials and employees.
“Isa itong malaking karangalan dahil for the first time in the history of the city ay nagawaran ng PBB eligibility ang Lungsod ng Angeles,” Lazatin added.
The PBB is awarded to government agencies and LGUs that have complied with all requirements under four dimensions of accountability.

The Angeles LGU also bagged the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) back in 2023, after which the lawmaker promised to raise the employees Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus from P7,000 to P10,000 should the City bag the SGLG in 2024.
In December last year, five months before being elected Congressman, Lazatin fulfilled his promise as the Angeles LGU earned another SGLG in 2024 – securing a historic back-to-back SGLG.
To date, Lazatin is the most awarded Angeles City Mayor having obtained 43 city awards and six personal awards during his two terms from 2019 to 2025.
