THE PAUTAKAN 2025 OPENS WITH GRADE SCHOOL DIVISION SHOWDOWN

UP Aguman officially launched The Pautakan 2025 with the Elementary Division competition held on November 23, 2025, at Heroes Hall, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The event, with the theme “Saguilay: Simangan ing Gélingang Kapampángan karing Pantas ampóng Maténákan king Katalungtunğan,” ran from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and gathered nine schools from across the province for a full day of academic competition.

The day opened with the Mass Eliminations, where all teams answered a comprehensive set of questions designed to test their knowledge, strategy, and speed. From this round, the top four teams advanced to the encounters, a head-to-head format that determined their standings. Several matches resulted in ties, which led to a series of intense knockout rounds that kept the audience engaged until the final moments.

At the end of the competition, St. Scholastica’s Academy emerged as the champion of the Elementary Division. Sindalan Elementary School secured the first runner-up title, followed by Chevalier School Inc. as the second runner-up. Organizers shared that this year’s strong performances highlight the continued excellence and determination of Kapampangan youth in academic competitions.

UP Aguman emphasized that The Pautakan remains a vital platform for recognizing the intellectual abilities of students in Pampanga. The organization expressed appreciation for the participating schools, noting that early exposure to academic challenges helps strengthen confidence and discipline in young learners.

The competition continues next week as the High School Division takes the stage on November 29 at St. Scholastica’s Academy. This year marks a significant change because the division now features a combined pool of junior high and senior high students. The Finals for this division will be held on November 30 at Heroes Hall.
