Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon has appealed to former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co to return to the Philippines and face the charges hurled against him in connection with ghost and substandard flood control projects.
Dizon echoed the call made by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to the former lawmaker to come home and answer the allegations against him.
“Lahat, kahit sino pwedeng mag-Facebook live.”
“Lahat, kahit sino pwedeng mag-Facebook live. Ang test diyan, uuwi ba siya [Zaldy Co] o hindi? Kung uuwi siya, then sabi nga ni Pangulo, pwede tayong magkaharap-harap. Come home, face the music,” the public works chief said.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently filed new plunder, graft, and bribery complaints against a number of members of the House of Representatives who are allegedly linked to contractors.
Apart from Co, also in the list are Representatives Edwin Gardiola, James Ang Jr., Jernie Jett Nisay, Augustina Pancho, Joseph Lara, Noel Rivera, and Francisco Matugas.

According to Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla, the evidences given by the DPWH and the Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI) have been a big help in strengthening and expediting the filing of cases against the “Congtractors”.
