The House of Representatives passed on third and final reading a total of 12 priority measures of the Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) before suspending for Christmas break.

It also prioritized education through the passage of the bills proposing amendments (1) to the Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education Act, and (2) to the Teachers Professionalization Act.

Other bills passed on third and final reading include the proposed Blue Economy Act, the strengthening of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), the bill promoting waste-to-energy technologies, the bill proposing the establishment of Department of Water Resources, the bill proposing amendments to the National Building Code and to the Banks Secrecy Law.

Another five (5) LEDAC priority bills are for comment/ concurrence of either the Committees on Appropriations and/or Ways and Means, with another 15 under review of the concerned House Committees.

Speaker Bojie Dy encouraged his fellow lawmakers to continue serving the people through the passage of important pieces of legislation, and to draw joy from such service.
