AUMENTADO TURNS OVER HOUSING PROJECT’S 100TH UNIT

Bohol’s “Balay sa Paglaum” housing initiative has reached a milestone with the turnover of its 100th house to beneficiary Emilia Lofranco, a widow from Barangay Lubang in Buenavista town.

Lofranco was the 100th beneficiary of the personal advocacy of Congresswoman Van-van Aumentado under the Balay sa Paglaum program, in partnership with the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) through its “Libreng Alagad ug Balay” initiative, according to Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado.

The assistance was granted after Lofranco’s daughter, Emelisa L. Torreon, reached out through the program’s social media page.

The house was constructed through the combined efforts of the Bohol Police Provincial Office led by PCol Patricio Degay Jr., the Barangay Lubang local government headed by Kapitana Maria Logroño, and volunteer partners.

“The milestone reflects the commitment of the program’s proponents.”

The governor said the milestone reflects the commitment of the program’s proponents.

He noted that through the personal funds of Congresswoman Van-van and the support of the police and volunteers, 100 families have now been provided with safe and decent homes.
