GORDON SALUTES PRC ‘NAZARENO’ STAFF, VOLUNTEERS

After more than 48 continuous hours in the field, the spirit of service of the Philippine Red Cross volunteers and staff remained unbroken, as PRC Chairman Dick Gordon expressed his heartfelt gratitude and salute to those serving on the frontlines of the Nazareno 2026.

“To our volunteers and staff who gave their strength, time, and compassion in the service of humanity, I salute you,” Gordon said.

On January 10, a total of 849 patients have been attended to since January 8, with 19 individuals requiring further medical care safely transported to hospitals. In addition, 2,204 devotees were provided with welfare assistance along the Traslación route.

“Even amid operational challenges and limited communication in certain areas, PRC volunteers and staff remained focused, responsive, and united by one mission: to protect life and uphold human dignity.”
