Laguna Governor Sol Aragones lauded Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 Best Actress Krystel Go’s achievement, emphasizing resilience and ability over limitations.
“Sa buhay, hindi natin binibilang kung ano man ang kulang. Ang binibilang natin ay ang natira,” Aragones told Go during her visit.
“Ang natira ay talino at talento sa inyo kaya kayo ay kinikilala sa inyong kakayahan.”

She also extended a small token of support to the children of Gentle Angels Down Syndrome (GADS) of Calamba, reaffirming the provincial government’s commitment to inclusivity.
The 29-year-old Go from Laguna has Down syndrome.
She captured hearts with her award-winning performance and her now-iconic line from the film, “I’m smart, sexy, beautiful, talented. I’m perfect.”

Krystel’s mother, Amelita Go, shared that her daughter’s journey was shaped by early support and intervention.
“Inano talaga namin siya sa tinatawag na ‘early intervention,’ sa speech therapy. Kaya age 4, nag-aaral na siya,” her mother said, highlighting the crucial role of family support and education in Krystel’s success.
Expressing her gratitude, Go said she feels “so blessed, grateful, and thankful” for the continued support of Aragones and the Province of Laguna.
“Nakakataba ng puso ang suporta ng buong Laguna sa amin.”
Echoing this sentiment, her mom added, “Nakakataba ng puso ang suporta ng buong Laguna sa amin. Lalo na ang suporta ni Gov Sol.”
