Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso has announced that the city government will release ₱476.488 million in allowances for senior citizens, solo parents, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) from January 28 to 30, 2026.

Domagoso made the announcement during a Facebook livestream.

“The January payout will cover arrears for September to December 2025 for solo parents and PWDs, and October to December 2025 for senior citizens.”

The mayor said the January payout will cover arrears for September to December 2025 for solo parents and PWDs, and October to December 2025 for senior citizens.

“Nabawasan na po si Judith (due date),” he said, referring to the reduction of overdue allowance obligations.

Domagoso said a total of 282,040 beneficiaries—including senior citizens, solo parents, adult PWDs, and PWD minors—are expected to receive allowances during the three-day payout period.

“Ibig sabihin po nito, mahigit ₱1.1 billion na po ang nailabas natin mula noong ibinalik tayo ng taumbayan sa pwesto noong June 30, 2025.”

The payout schedule will be implemented by district, with Districts 1 and 2 scheduled on January 28, Districts 3 and 4 on January 29, and Districts 5 and 6 on January 30, applying to all beneficiary groups.

Based on figures presented during the announcement, 205,505 senior citizens will receive a total of ₱325.839 million, covering allowances for October to December 2025.

Allowances for 16,673 solo parents amount to ₱33.346 million, while 49,687 adult PWDs will receive ₱97.458 million, both covering the period from September to December 2025.

An additional ₱19.845 million has been allocated for 10,175 PWD minors, bringing the total January 2026 payout to ₱476.488 million.

Domagoso also cited validation by the City Treasurer showing that more than ₱700.315 million in allowances and pensions for senior citizens, PWDs, and solo parents had already been released from July to December 2025, including both city-funded allowances and national government-funded social pensions coursed through the city.
