The vision is clear: a seamlessly connected logistics network where goods flow as efficiently as data moves across the internet. On February 19-20, 2026, the 3rd Physical Internet National Symposium (PINS 2026) will convene at the GT Toyota Auditorium, University of the Philippines Diliman, bringing together the minds needed to build the Physical Internet in the Philippines.

The symposium draws on expertise from Asia’s most advanced Physical Internet implementations. Professor Takayuki Mori, Chairman of Japan Physical Internet Center, brings three decades of global logistics leadership and chairs Japan’s ISO315 National Committee. From China’s rapidly evolving ecosystem, Kevin Liu (General Secretary, China Physical Internet Alliance) and Rick Song (Founder of THE PATH Technology) share insights from nearly 30 years each in logistics automation.
Associate Professor Ryuichi Shibasaki from the University of Tokyo will present Global Logistics Network Modelling applications across Asia Pacific. Professor Greg Foliente of the University of Melbourne and De La Salle University Manila will present a PI readiness framework designed specifically for archipelagic nations like the Philippines.
Philippine researchers are building the foundation. Dr. Joel Ilao, Director of DLSU Manila’s AdRIC, brings experience from the DOST-funded TITAN project. Assistant Professor Simon Anthony D. Lorenzo represents the next generation focusing on resilience in PI-enabled logistics networks. Dr. John Justine Villar connects computational systems and transportation through his leadership of the Intelligent Transportation Systems technical committee.
Industry leaders bring practical perspectives. Miguel Gutierrez transformed One Stop Logistics Solutions into a leader in inter-island cross-dock operations. Steven Tan manages fleet services at Petron Corporation, overseeing nationwide trucking logistics. Rankine Ruel Novabos will bridge operational realities with strategic organizational transformation.
Conference Chair Assistant Professor Raymond Freth A. Lagria, along with Co-Chairs Assistant Professors Leonardo Nestor F. Espenilla and Georgiana L. Ang Dy Pay, have structured the symposium to build connections between people who will create the Physical Internet network in the Philippines.
