The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Blood Summit 2026 sustained its focus on blood safety, sustainability, and innovation, as experts and partners exchanged insights on quality systems, donor engagement, digital transformation, and multi-sectoral collaboration.
The discussions reinforced a shared commitment to ensuring safe, adequate, and accessible blood services for communities nationwide.

Recognizing the people behind the systems, Gordon expressed his appreciation.
“We are able to maintain our efficiency and superlative performance because of you. Thank you for the work you’re doing for humanity,” he said underscoring the vital role of every participant in strengthening PRC’s blood services.
PRC Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn Pang echoed this gratitude.
“Kayo dapat ang pinakamalakas na pinapalakpakan. The Philippine Red Cross wants to thank all of the people here for cultivating the highest standard of care,” Pang said honoring their dedication to life-saving work.

Graced by the presence of PRC Governors Corazon Alma De Leon, Gov. Jennifer Ann Munar, and Gov. Elizabeth Zavalla, the second day concluded in a spirit of fellowship and shared purpose—marked by recognition, meaningful exchanges, and moments that deepened partnerships, reaffirmed values, and celebrated the collective mission of saving lives.
The Philippine Red Cross officially opened the PRC Blood Summit 2026 at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas with the theme “Future-Proofing Blood Services through Safety, Sustainability, and Innovation”.
In partnership with Abbott Laboratories and Transfusion Medicine, the three-day summit brought together blood bank professionals, health experts, and PRC chapters from across the country to strengthen and modernize the nation’s blood services.
