The Philippine Red Cross recently welcomed Marielle Geraedts, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Philippines, for a courtesy visit at PRC National Headquarters.
Geraedts was joined by key representatives from the embassy, including her daughter—who is a health service volunteer—Nicky Ten Bosch.
Joining the delegation were Lauren Wessel, Political Secretary of the Embassy and Itziar Santamaria Barriuso, Country Representative.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase PRC’s humanitarian services, disaster response operations, and ongoing partnerships with the Netherlands Red Cross.
The delegation also toured the Operations Center and saw firsthand the dedication of volunteers supporting communities affected by disasters.
PRC Chairman and CEO Dick Gordon presented PRC’s key programs, including the Safecard program, housing projects, child-friendly spaces activities, and other on-going operations of the Philippine Red Cross.

Gordon also expressed his utmost gratitude to The Netherlands.

Geraedts praised PRC’s efforts in disaster response and expressed interest in strengthening collaboration to alleviate human suffering.
PRC Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn Pang conveyed gratitude for the continued partnership, noting that it enables the PRC to enhance disaster preparedness, response capacity, and reach more vulnerable communities.
The visit reaffirmed the strong bond between the Philippine Red Cross and the Netherlands, united in delivering timely and compassionate humanitarian assistance.
