The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is strengthening its partnership with the business sector to ensure the Marcos administration’s priority infrastructure projects are completed on time and deliver tangible benefits to Filipinos.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the DPWH to expedite the completion of key infrastructure projects nationwide.
According to Secretary Vince Dizon, the DPWH will establish a green lane to encourage legitimate and major construction firms to join bidding programs to speed up construction of infrastructure projects.
“Under the BOI [Board of Investments] agreements, you have green lanes for investors and companies who qualify based on a certain criteria.”

“There’s no reason why we can’t do that in DPWH,” the public works chief stressed.

The public works head said the agency is already institutionalizing transparency and reform initiatives, while also expanding partnerships with the private sector such as the recently launched Integrity Chain monitoring system, where PCCI serves as one of the accredited validators.
