GO TURNS ‘NINONG’ FOR 50 COUPLES IN PANGASINAN

Senator Bong Go conveyed his congratulations and guidance to approximately fifty couples during the 2026 Kasalang Bayan in Mapandan, Pangasinan, where he served as principal sponsor.

In his video message, Go described the occasion as a celebration not only of marriage but also of love, responsibility, and a new chapter in life.

In his remarks, the seasoned lawmaker emphasized that marriage carries responsibilities beyond the ceremony itself. The senator framed the occasion as a turning point for the couples, highlighting the values that must guide them as they begin married life.

He expressed appreciation for the opportunity to stand as a sponsor for the couples, describing the role as an honor.

His advice centered on practical and enduring values: care, understanding, cooperation, and daily expressions of respect and love. Go stressed that strong families are formed not by ceremony alone but by consistent effort and mutual support.

Beyond his message to the couples, Go acknowledged the efforts of the local government unit of Mapandan, particularly Mayor Karl Christian Vega and those involved in organizing the program.

Go recognized that initiatives such as Kasalang Bayan provide an accessible avenue for couples to formalize their union. By supporting programs that facilitate civil marriage, local governments help ensure that families are legally recognized and socially affirmed.

The event gathered couples from across Mapandan who took part in the collective ceremony as part of the municipality’s annual observance of Valentine’s season. Local officials described the mass wedding as an opportunity to promote family stability and community cohesion.

In closing, Go offered his hopes for the newly married couples and encouraged them to become positive examples within their families and communities.

“Sa ating mga bagong kasal, nawa’y maging matatag ang inyong pagsasama at maging inspirasyon kayo sa inyong mga pamilya at komunidad,” he said.

Go concluded his message with a note of gratitude and well-wishes.

As principal sponsor of the Mapandan Kasalang Bayan 2026, his message focused on the fundamental elements of married life: daily cooperation, understanding, and shared responsibility.

Go’s remarks underscored that marriage is both a personal decision and a social bond that strengthens families and communities.
