Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera, together with Boxing and Other Contact Sports Assistant Chief Kenner So, convened a meeting with Filipino professional boxing champion Charly Suarez at the GAB Central Office in Makati City.
Also in attendance were Suarez’s Manager, Mr. Ricardo Navalta, and Coach/ trainer, Delfin Boholst.
The discussion centered on boxer Suarez as the upcoming challenger for the WBO super-featherweight world title, and his preparation for the aforementioned world title bout.
Rivera shared his valuable guidance to Suarez’s camp, underscoring the agency’s commitment to supporting Filipino professional boxers in their pursuit of waving the Philippine Flag on international boxing.
“Please let us know if you need something from theGAB,” he said.
“Boxing occupies a very important spot in ourregulatory regime here in the Philippines,” Rivera stressed.
Suarez was the WBO International Super Featherweight Champion in 2024.
He also represented the Philippines at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
