BOC RAISES P102M FROM DISCAYA LUXURY CARS AUCTION

In line with the directives of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to ensure transparency, accountability, and the proper use of government assets, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) successfully raised over ₱102 million through the auction of luxury vehicles linked to the Discaya case, with nine out of the 13 seized cars from the case now sold.

“Restitution and transparency are at the core of our mission with these vehicles and in every enforcement action we undertake,” Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said.

Out of the 12 vehicles offered in the auction on February 25, seven were Discaya-linked, and three of these vehicles were sold.

The 2024 Lincoln Navigator went to Cantinetta Espresso Concepts for ₱6.950 million, the 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV was won by Igorot Stone Kingdom Inc. for ₱6.623 million, and the Bentley Bentayga went to TDY Consumer Goods Trading for ₱12.178 million.

These sales alone generated ₱25.751 million, and including registration fees, the total proceeds reached ₱25.771 million.

These auction results bring the total revenue from Discaya-linked vehicles to over ₱102.468 million, highlighting the Bureau’s commitment to lawful restitution and turning seized assets into funds that benefit the public.
