POLAND INAUGURATES CONSULATE IN BOHOL

The Embassy of Poland in the Philippines formally inaugurated the Honorary Consulate of the Poland in Bohol in Tagbilaran City, installing Zarah Jao Dejaresco as honorary consul during a ceremony led by Ambassador Katarzyna Wilkowiecka and Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado.

“Together with our Council of Panlalawigan, representatives of the three Districts, City Government of Tagbilaran, and other stakeholders, this unique potential inspires us to extend the warm welcome and care to our Polish friends, through the appointed Honorary Consul of Poland here in Bohol,” Aumentado said.


The new consulate will strengthen economic, tourism, and cultural ties while assisting Polish citizens visiting Bohol, the country’s only UNESCO Global Geopark Network-designated Global Geopark.

The governor expressed optimism that the move will attract more visitors from Poland to the province, which welcomed around 1.4 million tourists in 2025.
