The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) formalized a partnership with Rizal Medical Center by signing a Memorandum of Agreement to provide timely and quality medical services to MMDA personnel needing medical response while performing their duties.
The agreement reinforces the agency’s commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of its workforce, particularly those assigned to field operations who face daily exposure to physical danger and health risks while carrying out their tasks and responsibilities across Metro Manila.
During the MOA signing, MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes emphasized that ensuring personnel welfare remains a top priority of the agency.
“Our personnel are on the frontlines every day. They manage traffic, respond to emergencies, and maintain order on our roads. It is our duty to ensure that when they encounter risks in the line of duty, they have immediate access to quality medical care,” Artes said.
MMDA Deputy Chairman Frisco San Juan Jr. also noted that the partnership will help ensure MMDA personnel receive the medical attention they need without delay.
“By expanding our network of partner hospitals, we are taking concrete steps to protect, preserve, and restore the health of our personnel.”
