BONG GO NOW ADOPTED SON OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL TOWN

Senator Bong Go was formally recognized as an adopted son of the Municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto in Negros Occidental following the approval of a local resolution citing his contributions to the community and his continued engagement with its development initiatives.

The recognition was granted through Resolution No. 2026-149, unanimously approved by the Sangguniang Bayan during its regular session recently, and formalized through a certificate issued by the Office of the Municipal Mayor.

The certificate affirmed the conferment of the title, stating that it was issued “pursuant to the unanimous approval of Resolution No. 2026-149” and that it is the municipality’s “distinct honor and privilege to formally declare and recognize Honorable Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Tesoro Go, Senator of the Republic of the Philippines, as an adopted son of the Municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.”

“His initiatives in infrastructure, health, education, and assistance to vulnerable sectors have profoundly impacted our community.”

Local officials cited Go’s public service and initiatives as the basis for the recognition, noting in the certificate that it acknowledges his “significant contributions to the development and welfare of our municipality” and that “his initiatives in infrastructure, health, education, and assistance to vulnerable sectors have profoundly impacted our community.”

The resolution adopted by the Sangguniang Bayan detailed the grounds for the honor, describing the veteran legislator as “a duly elected Senator of the Republic of the Philippines, known for his dedication to public service” and recognizing his “advocacy for the welfare of Filipino citizens” as well as his work in supporting underserved communities.

It further noted that the veteran legislator “has extended significant support to the Municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto through various initiatives, including but not limited to infrastructure development, health services, education programs, and assistance to vulnerable sectors,” which “greatly contributed to the progress and well-being of its residents.”

“Sen. Bong Go’s genuine concern for the municipality’s growth and his efforts to address local needs have earned him the respect and admiration of the people of Don Salvador Benedicto.”

The resolution also cited the local reception of these efforts, stating that the senator’s “genuine concern to the municipality’s growth and his efforts to address local needs have earned him the respect and admiration of the people of Don Salvador Benedicto.”

The conferment of the title reflects the municipality’s recognition of his engagement with local communities and signals continued partnership between Go and local officials in advancing development efforts in Don Salvador Benedicto.

“Patuloy kaming magseserbisyo sa inyo dahil bisyo ko ang magserbisyo at ako ay naniniwala na ang serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo ‘yan sa Panginoon, serbisyo ‘yan kay Allah,” he concluded.
