Written by: Jan Reinald Masilungan

The countdown is on! NatGES 2026 is set to take place on April 10-11 at the UPFI Film Center, bringing together students, professionals, and enthusiasts from across the Philippines for two days of learning, competitions, and networking. Carrying the theme “Beyond Boundaries, Into New Frontiers,” this year’s summit highlights the evolving field of geodetic engineering and the innovative minds shaping its future.

From its early days as a student conference, NatGES has grown into a leading national platform connecting academics, industry experts, and emerging professionals. The summit offers a comprehensive program where participants can explore new technologies, exchange ideas, and gain insights into the latest trends in geomatics and surveying.

Attendees can expect a packed schedule of activities, including the UP DGE Talk, featuring research from UP faculty, and NatGES Talks, where professionals share experiences and career insights. Competitions such as the GE Ka Na Ba? National Quiz Show, Research Colloquium, and Map Making and Presentation Challenge test knowledge and skills, while hands-on contests like the Surveylympics push participants’ technical abilities. Beyond the academic program, the Company Fair, networking sessions, and Socials Night which includes performances, a banquet, and the Mr. and Ms. GE Student pageant.

With opportunities to learn, compete, and connect, NatGES 2026 promises to be an exciting milestone for the geodetic engineering community. Updates, registration details, and event highlights are available via the UP Geodetic Engineering Club’s Facebook page: facebook.com/upgeclub .
