Bida One Production Unveils Fresh Lineup of Purpose-Driven Shows for the Thomasian Community

In a time when good stories entertain and great stories make a difference, Bida One Production steps up to the challenge.

Bida One Production, a rising production house of third-year communication students of the Faculty of Arts and Letters from the University of Santo Tomas, is committed to making its mark through innovative storytelling and socially relevant initiatives. More than just a production house, Bida One Production crafts stories that integrate the Sustainable Development Goals and directs them to the Thomasian community.

At the heart of this vision is its station ID, written by Abigail Belza, Aldhea Cadeliña, and Mickyla Conde, which sets the tone for the production. It positions every viewer as the bida of their own story, challenging the idea of a fixed definition of a “star” while celebrating individuality and self-expression. Driven by an uplifting beat, sharp choreography, and empowering lyrics, the track encapsulates the production house’s core message: “Sa Bida One, ikaw ang bida.”

Bida One Production’s station ID is available on its official online platforms, including Facebook (BidaOne)and Instagram (@b1da.one).

Building on this message, Bida One Production premieres two original programs, On Your mARCH! and Kathalikasan, as part of COMMTV 2026, the annual TV production showcase and interclass competition of third-year Communication students under the Faculty of Arts and Letters at University of Santo Tomas.

The shows go live starting April 6, 2026, via the online platforms of UST Tiger TV. On Your mARCH! is scheduled to air every Monday throughout April 2026, followed by Kathalikasan, which will air every Monday in May 2026.

Leading the lineup is On Your mARCH!, a student-centered campus series that charts the Thomasian journey from admission to career preparation. Structured as a series of “laps,” each episode captures a defining stage in student life, turning key milestones into a clear and continuous progression. The show promotes SDG #17: Partnership for the Goals by highlighting the collaboration between students and key university offices in shaping the Thomasian journey. Its tagline reflects this mission: “Guiding your steps from, within, and beyond the arch!”

At the center of the series is TomTom, the show’s mascot, who guides viewers through each phase with insights from university offices and firsthand student experiences. The program brings together institutional guidance and lived realities to address the most common questions students face at every stage of the journey, presenting the Thomasian experience as both navigable and shared.

In doing so, moments of uncertainty, challenge, and growth are framed not as setbacks, but as essential steps in becoming a Thomasian.

On Your mARCH! airs on April 6 from 1:35 PM to 2:15 PM, and on April 13 and April 20, 2026, from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM across the University’s lobby televisions and on UST Tiger TV’s Facebook page.

When it comes to redefining what it means to serve looks with purpose, Bida One Production jumps right in and introduces its second show, Kathalikasan, an unscripted reality competition that challenges Thomasians to transform everyday waste into wearable statements.

Anchored on its tagline “Where Sustainability Meets the Runway,” the show brings together creativity, advocacy, and urgency as student contestants race against time to design their own outfits and accessories using recyclable materials particularly paper, plastic, and organic wastes. Inspired by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #12: Responsible Consumption and Production, the show highlights how creativity can drive environmental awareness and responsible practices.

Kathalikasan unfolds across three dynamic episodes. In the first episode, three teams of Thomasians will select advocacies that will inspire their designs. An advantage trivia game will give them the opportunity to choose their primary recycled material for their overall designs, selecting from paper, plastic, or organic waste.

The second episode delves into the creative process, where contestants gather, prepare, and construct their pieces using their chosen materials. A surprise “switch” segment will push the teams out of their comfort zones, testing their adaptability and teamwork.

The final episode culminates in a runway fashion show, where each creation takes center stage as models walk and bring to life the stories and advocacies behind every piece.

Kathaliksan will air on April 27, May 4, and May 11, 2026 from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM across the University’s lobby televisions and on UST Tiger TV’s Facebook page.

Bida One Production encourages viewers to follow its social media accounts for updates on upcoming shows and to be part of stories that champion socially relevant themes through entertainment and empowerment.

Dahil sa kanila, ikaw ang laging bida.
