PH RED CROSS DISTRIBUTES WHEELCHAIRS 

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) continues to restore independence and dignity among vulnerable Filipinos through its Mobility for Dignity program, successfully distributing a total of 147 wheelchairs across multiple locations nationwide this April.

Launched in 2022, Mobility for Dignity is a flagship humanitarian initiative of the PRC that provides mobility aid to persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and individuals with mobility impairments. 

The program is implemented in partnership with the Wheelchair Foundation, Chair the Love, the Rotary Club of Manila 101.

As of 2026, the program marks four years of restoring mobility and dignity, while its structured nationwide rollout with partners continues to expand access to life-changing assistance.

“To our beneficiaries, this wheelchair is for you. May it help you move more freely, return to your daily activities, and continue pursuing your goals in life,” PRC Chairman & CEO Dick Gordon said.

“You are not alone, the Philippine Red Cross is here to support you in every step of your journey toward dignity, independence, and hope,” Gordon stressed.


The April distributions were conducted in the following areas:

April 8 – Tonsuya, Malabon City: 9 wheelchairs distributed
April 9 – PRC Logistics and Training Center, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority: 44 wheelchairs distributed to beneficiaries from Bataan, Olongapo, and Zambales
April 11 – ATS The Farmyard, Calauan, Laguna: 44 wheelchairs distributed across Laguna Province
April 13 – PRC Logistics and Training Center, Mandaluyong: 50 wheelchairs distributed for Metro Manila and Rizal beneficiaries

Through this initiative, the PRC continues to empower beneficiaries by improving everyday mobility.
