MAYOR ISKO THANKS LEVISTE FOR RICE DONATION

Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso expressed his gratitude to Batangas 1st District Representative Leandro Legarda Leviste and the people of Batangas after the City of Manila received a donation of 4,000 sacks of rice — each weighing 25 kilograms.

Leviste said the donation was his personal contribution, made at no cost to the government, as a gesture of gratitude for Manila’s hospitality toward Batangueños who had gathered at Liwasang Bonifacio for a week.

The Batangas lawmaker also praised Manila for allowing Filipinos from across the country to use its freedom parks, expressing deep gratitude for how the city has kept these spaces clean, orderly, and safe.

Leviste also assured the Mayor of the Batangueños’ commitment to pushing for a reduction in value-added tax and for a stronger government response to the oil price crisis.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Mayor and the Manila City government for maintaining the city’s beauty, cleanliness, and order for the benefit of all Filipinos.

Domagoso, in turn, extended the city’s regards to Senator Loren Legarda, Leviste’s mother, commending her for raising a son who has shown kindness toward others.

“I would like to send our regards to Senator Loren Legarda. Napalaki ninyo ng maayos yung anak ninyo, naging mabuti sa kapwa,” he said.

Domagoso also expressed the city’s excitement and gratitude for the donation, describing it as a meaningful act of solidarity especially during difficult times, and thanked Leviste and the people of Batangas for their generosity.
