Just like gemstones, the youth has always had immense potential to become beacons of change. Yet, this potential is ignited by dreams. This May 9, the UP Statistical Society once again welcomes a new set of youth dreamers from across the Philippines to LIMITLESS: National Youth Summit on Statistics, taking place at the Philippine Social Science Center (along Commonwealth Ave., Diliman, QC) from 8 AM to 5 PM, where dreams will be transformed into meaningful and impactful change.
Various activities await as dreamers step into the reverie. The brilliant minds of the Filipino youth will be put into the limelight as the summit provides a platform for young researchers to present discoveries that contribute to national discourse and shape data-driven actions in the summit’s new program segment: Academic Cluster. The vivid macro-impact of statistics will also be showcased through Keynote Talks, featuring its applications in financial systems and policy-making.
Visionaries join hands in LIMITLESS’ most awaited breakout “Strata” sessions. Here, industry professionals will share their vast perspectives on the treasures of statistics, including its intersection with Psychology, Forensic Science, E-sports, and Media. To add more luster to this enchanted experience, a culminating workshop will challenge participants to lead with data and critical thinking to resolve real-world crises. Finally, with fortunes awaiting through various games, sponsor booths, and exclusive merchandise, LIMITLESS proves to be a summit uniquely by the youth, for the youth.
Just last year, the summit reached its highest peak with 202 registrants. Executive Directors Eunice Alicias and JM Corrales share their passion for extending its reach to more young individuals from different parts of the country: “LIMITLESS has always been an event for the youth, for the community, for the nation, and the team prepares steadfastly to provide a multitude of learnings, experiences, and connections to all dreamers.” Moving towards this vision, this year’s activities are intentionally crafted, more than ever before, with the purpose of nation building with statistics. Institutions like UP School of Statistics, MORES, PSA, and PSRTI have previously endorsed LIMITLESS, supporting its legacy as a national avenue for statistical awareness and youth enrichment.
