MARK VILLAR LEADS ‘MARKABUHAYAN’ JOB FAIR 2026

In celebration of Labor Day, Senator Mark Villar led the successful Markabuhayan Job Fair 2026 held recently at SM City Taytay, bringing together job seekers, employers, government services, and beneficiaries of welfare assistance programs.

Hundreds of applicants participated in the one-day event, exploring employment opportunities across various industries. Alongside the job fair, welfare assistance was also extended to micro and small business owners affected by the crisis.

An on-site LTO Caravan further complemented the activity by offering convenient access to licensing services, allowing attendees to process permits and renewals efficiently.

In his message, Villar underscored the vital role of Filipino workers in sustaining the country’s economic growth.

“Our workers are the backbone of our economy.”

“Our workers are the backbone of our economy. Their hard work keeps our industries moving and our communities growing,” the legislator said.

The lawmaker also emphasized the need to address persistent labor challenges such as job mismatch, underemployment, and unemployment, especially amid shifting global demands.

“We continue to improve programs that match skills with the right opportunities, so our workers can reach their full potential, especially in an evolving labor market,” the senator added.

Villar also shared his vision of a more globally competitive Filipino workforce.

Villar likewise expressed gratitude to private sector partners for their continued collaboration with the government in generating employment and strengthening workforce development.

“We invite our partners in the private sector to continue working with us to create more jobs, enhance skills training, and ensure long-term opportunities for our workers,” he said.

The event also served as a tribute to Filipino workers and entrepreneurs, recognizing their contributions to nation-building.
