The Department of Education (DepEd), together with local government units and partner agencies, led the successful conduct of the Regional Brigada Eskwela 2026 hosted by Pacita Complex I Integrated School in San Pedro City, Laguna, bringing together education leaders, government officials, and stakeholders in a unified effort to prepare schools for the upcoming academic year.
The event was attended by Governor Sol Aragones, who expressed full support from the Provincial Government of Laguna, along with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Acting Secretary Francis Tolentino, San Pedro City Mayor Art Mercado, DepEd Regional Director Carlito Rocafort, Assistant Regional Director Loida Nidea, CESO VI, Representative of Laguna’s 1st District Maria Rene Ann Lourdes Matibag, Board Member Bernadeth Olivares, representatives from DOLE, and other government officials.

Aragones emphasized the importance of combining volunteerism with livelihood opportunities.
“Bukod sa spirit ng pagboboluntaryo may hanapbuhay pang dagdag,” the lady governor said.
Her message underscored the program’s expanded direction this year, where school preparation efforts are matched with practical support for families, ensuring that community participation also translates into economic opportunities and long-term benefits for local stakeholders.
