PARA SA BADING: Your new local OPM Pride gig

If you have ever found yourself at the outskirts of the local music scene, you would know of a place called 123Block where gigs are often held.

This June 20, 123Block is the place to be in where a full artist lineup with a side of an art market is waiting with Para Sa Bading.

Para Sa Bading is a benefit gig created and produced by Panganay Productions, with its net proceeds going to Galang PH, a non-government organization advocating for the human rights empowerment of lesbians, bisexual women, and trans men (LBTs).

As its organizers, Panganay Productions is a group of gig-goers that tried their hand at organizing their own music events, ranging from fundraising gigs (Himig Kalinga, Para Sa Bayan), single and music video launches (Keanna Mag’s Babalik Single + MV Launch, Nameless Kids’ Sinungaling Single Launch Experience), and seasonal events (F.L.A.M.E.S.: A Valentines’ Gig).

Their mantra of “for the love of music” takes on a different spin this pride month, citing the benefit gig as an extension of the fundamentality that united this ragtag group in the first place—Para Sa Bading; for the love of love.

The fundraising event will feature local OPM acts from Pixie Labrador (Varsity Crush), Ian Quiruz (tindahan ng mga alaala), Frank Ely (Kay Ganda Mo), Earl Generao (Punas Luha), Magiliw Street (Akasya), It All Started in May (O’ Kay Tamis), and Sugarcane (Leonora).

Tickets start at PHP 850.00.
