PH RED CROSS HONORS BLOOD DONORS IN MARIKINA CITY

In celebration of World Blood Donor Day, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) held a special awarding ceremony at the Riverbanks Center in Marikina City to honor incredible “blood galloners” and dedicated partner organizations for their unwavering commitment to saving lives.

Earlier in the day, a blood donation drive was also held at the venue, drawing selfless individuals ready to make a difference.

“Ito ‘yung simplest way para makapag-save ng lives or makatulong kahit ‘di mo nakikita yung magre-receive ng blood.”

“Ito ‘yung simplest way para makapag-save ng lives or makatulong kahit ‘di mo nakikita yung magre-receive ng blood,” shared Ryan Rentillo, a proud blood galloner who reached an incredible milestone.

PRC Chairman and CEO Dick Gordon expressed his gratitude to Rentillo and other blood donors.

“Blood donors are and will always be vital to every community. The Philippine Red Cross thanks all of its donors, as well as its partners, who have continuously helped in driving the organization’s blood services,” Gordon said.

PRC Secretary-General Dr. Gwendolyn Pang is encouraging healthy and fit individuals to visit the nearest PRC Blood Center or join the next bloodletting activity.

“A single donation is already enough to save three lives.”

“Despite technological advancements on blood transfusions, blood donors will always hold their place as an important aspect of every procedure. We encourage every individual who’s fit to donate to provide blood to those in need. A single donation is already enough to save three lives,” Pang concluded.
