Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera welcomed former Sacramento Kings NBA assistant coach Jimmy Alapag to the GAB Central Office in Makati City.
Alapag secured his GAB professional license, officially paving the way for his return to Philippine professional basketball.
For him, the homecoming is about more than basketball—it is also about returning home to his family.
“My family and I are so happy to be back home.”
“The whole thing feels like the stars aligned. My family and I are so happy to be back home,” Alapag said.
With his return to the Philippines, Alapag embarks on a new chapter as the newly appointed head coach of the NLEX Road Warriors for the 2026 PBA Governor’s Cup, bringing his wealth of international coaching experience back home.
