VILLAFUERTE CALLS FOR BETTER DISASTER PREPAREDNESS

In line with the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month, Camarines Sur 5th District Representative and Committee on Information and Communications Technology chairperson Miguel Luis Villafuerte espoused unity and the proper implementation of laws to ensure the preparedness of communities during calamities and disasters.

Addressing the employees and officials of the House of Representatives Secretariat led by Secretary General Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil during the Monday flag raising ceremony, Villafuerte said disaster resilience and preparedness has become one of his advocacies because the Bicol region experiences 22 to 28 typhoons every year and is heavily impacted by weather disturbances.
