AFP, PNP DECLARE LAGUNA INSURGENT-FREE

Reinforcing its commitment to lasting peace, security, and public safety, the Provincial Government of Laguna, led by Governor Sol Aragones, joined key national and local government agencies in the Revalidation and Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Declaration of Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) at the Laguna Provincial Capitol.

Among the principal signatories were Aragones; Laguna Police Provincial Office Director PCOL Sandro Jay Tafalla; 202nd Infantry Brigade Commander BGen Ernest John Jadloc; DILG Laguna Provincial Director Jay Beltra, represented by DILG Project Manager Wyeth Fernandez; Provincial Administrator Atty. Nathalie Irene Velasquez; and Provincial Peace and Order Office Head Adiel De Torres.

The signing ceremony gathered representatives from the 202nd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army, 59th Infantry Battalion, Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Laguna, the Provincial Government of Laguna, and local government officials from participating municipalities.

“Ang tunay na hamon ay kung paano natin mapapanatili ang tagumpay na ating nakamit at pagtitiyak na hindi muli makakabalik ang anumang banta sa ating seguridad.”

The ceremonial signing reaffirmed the commitment of all stakeholders to sustain peace, security, and public order through strengthened collaboration and coordinated initiatives. 

It also underscored the importance of continuous partnerships among national government agencies, local government units, and communities in maintaining a stable and peaceful Laguna.

“Hamon sa akin na pa-igtingin pa ang kaligtasan ng Lagunense sa pagtutulungan ng iba’t ibang sektor para maging kampante ang mga tao na sa Laguna ligtas ka,” the lady governor added.

She also emphasized the Provincial Government’s continued support for programs that promote safety, security, and inclusive development to further improve the quality of life of every Lagunense.
