Senator Bong Go underscored the importance of empowering Filipinos through technical-vocational education as a means to foster self-reliance and expand economic opportunities, as his Malasakit Team joined the graduation ceremony of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) scholars in Daet, Camarines Norte.
“Sa pamamagitan ng TESDA at iba pang training institutions, marami na po tayong natulungang magkaroon ng hanapbuhay at pagkakataong maiangat ang kanilang buhay,” Go said in a message.
The veteran legislator also urged the graduates to keep pursuing their goals as they begin applying the skills they have earned.
“Huwag kayong titigil sa inyong pangarap dahil ito ay simula pa lang ng mas magandang bukas para sa inyo.”

Held at the Asian Technological Skills Institute Inc. in Daet, the ceremony recognized 25 scholars who completed the Bread and Pastry NC II.

The senator has consistently supported measures that promote accessible and inclusive education. He is one of the authors and co-sponsors of Republic Act No. 12077, or the Student Loan Payment Moratorium During Disasters and Emergencies Act, which provides financial relief to students with outstanding loans during calamities and emergencies.
Go is also one of the authors and co-sponsors of RA 11510, or the Alternative Learning System Act, which ensures access to education for out-of-school youth and disadvantaged learners.
He also pointed to the importance of strengthening mental health support beyond education. Go filed Senate Bill No. 176, which proposes the creation of Mental Health Offices in all public higher education institutions nationwide.
“Ako ang inyong Senator Kuya Bong Go, patuloy na magseserbisyo sa inyong lahat dahil bisyo ko na ang magserbisyo at ako po ay naniniwala na ang serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo po yan sa Diyos,” he concluded.
