“Open for Business”, a short format video show focusing on Philippine and international business news, was chosen as one of the awardees in the recent Philippine Television and Cinema Icons 2026 ceremony last August 1, 2026 in Quezon City.
NET25 President and Executive Producer Caesar R. Vallejos accepted the award in behalf of the emerging media giant, noting that the citation will inspire them to come up with more interesting, engaging and relevant content. He also promised to work at further expanding the show’s and NET25’s reach to better inform and inspire its growing audience.
“Open for Business” features brief reports and discussions on a varied range of current economic issues. Its recent videos, for example, featured business prospects for the Philippines’ upcoming ASEAN chairmanship, forward plans of national flag carrier Philippine Airlines, future roadmaps for the BPO industry, efforts by the Department of Trade and Industry to protect and stake a claim at ube, minimum wage challenges, and many more.
The video reports are compact yet informative, mostly lasting less than a minute and not more than five minutes. The short format is aimed towards content consumers whose attention spans are conditioned by the rapid turnover of ideas over the Internet.
Being online-focused, NET25 has made a conscious effort to popularize “Open for Business” through a dedicated and easily-searchable YouTube Channel and through the NET25.com portal.
The videos are also available to view using Tiktok at @net25tv, and as well as at Facebook via its own the “Open for own Business FB page.
NET25’s Vallejos aims to make the show a “one stop shop” source of information for businesses and ordinary citizens alike, stressing that they focus on both consumer-related news such as prices of daily commodities, gas and gasoline, while at the same time releasing reports on balance of payments, MSME and franchising trends.
He stressed that the Philippine Television and Cinema Icons 2026 recognition is a humbling validation of NET25’s ongoing drive to firmly establish itself as the “alternative mainstream” in Philippine media.
