Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera, joined by Professional Esports Focal Person Mar Dominic Almaden, welcomed and congratulated Navi PH.
Navi PH finished first‑place at the Esports World Cup 2026 – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational in Paris, France.

During the courtesy visit, Rivera commended the team’s achievement and highlighted the growing prominence of esports as a professional sport.
He emphasized the importance of expanding opportunities for women athletes through sustained tournaments, broader exposure, and stronger institutional support.
“Women’s sports should be made comparable to men’s sports in terms of pay, exposure, and other opportunities, so that our women will not be disadvantaged,” Rivera stressed.
He also affirmed GAB’s commitment to support the team in preparing for upcoming international competitions.
This includes expediting visa endorsements for their participation in the Global Esports Games 2026 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
