Executive Secretary Ralph Recto personally led the Laguna leg of the Malacañang-backed “Bawat Barangay Makikinabang” program held at the Laguna Sports Complex where a huge crowd gathered to witness the distribution of assistance intended for the province’s 681 barangays.
Governor Sol Aragones graced the jampacked affair, which focused on the release of financial aid to 681 barangays — each receiving ₱200,000 in cash assistance, totaling ₱136.2 million — intended for community projects, livelihood activities, and grassroots needs.

“Today, we do not just turn over checks; we also invest in the future of this province through having 3,405 Beneficiaries called Presidential Scholars,” he added.
Through the given cash aid, the 681 barangays across the province of Laguna will be able to adopt 5 scholars per each barangay which was the President’s goal for the all barangays in the country. Also, sectors such as the PWD, Solo Parents, and others shall benefit from the Bawat Barangay Makikinabang program.
Aragones welcomed the initiatives, expressing gratitude to the national government for recognizing the needs of Laguna’s grassroots communities and its young people.

The massive turnout at the Laguna Sports Complex highlighted the enthusiasm of local officials and residents alike. Mayors, Provincial Board Members, and hundreds of barangay officials, from across the province joined the event, with many expressing hope that the aid and the whole program would be rolled out to the 681 barangays across Laguna in succeeding phases.
Recto also commended the Provincial Government under the leadership of Aragones for putting words to actions as the launching of the “Ambulance on the Go” program, funded by the Provincial Government and the people of Laguna with the help of the President and the National Government starting October was highlighted.
30 ambulances will be dispatched to the 4th District which will soon expand to 40 vehicles and more.
