PROFESSIONAL PICKLEBALL ATHLETES TAKE GAB OATH

Maharlika Pilipinas Pickleball Tour (MPPT) Commissioner Mark Espinosa made a courtesy visit to Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera to personally inform him of the league’s readiness for the upcoming MPPT Invitational 2026.

Espinosa expressed his gratitude to the Chairman and the entire GAB for their continued support of the league, its professional pickleball teams, athletes, coaches, and team officials.

“We thank Chairman Rivera and the entire GAB for their continued support of our league, the professional pickleball teams, athletes, coaches, and team officials.”

The Camarines Norte Golden Hawks and Alfonso Siklab, together with their athletes and team officials, also visited the GAB to secure their professional licenses.

The athletes formally took their oaths before Rivera and ProSports Division Supervising Administrative Officer, Dr. Oliver Evangelista, officially marking the beginning of their careers as professional athletes under the agency’s supervision and regulation.

Among those who took their oaths was Exekiel Christian Gaspar, popularly known as “Boss Keng” of Team Payaman—a Filipino vlogger, content creator, and team manager‑athlete of Alfonso Siklab.

“Avoid participating in any unethical practices such as game-fixing that threaten the integrity of sports.”

Rivera reminded the players to avoid participating in any unethical practices such as game-fixing that threaten the integrity of sports, plan for their financial future, and uphold the code of ethics and conduct they have sworn.

“The more important matter is your Code of Ethics. If you comply with its provisions, you will not be in trouble,” Rivera stressed.
