KADIWA EXPO OPENS AT WORLD TRADE CENTER

The Department of Agriculture (DA) is expanding market opportunities for farmers and fisherfolk through the 3rd KADIWA ng Pangulo (KNP) Expo on October 8–10 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

Organized by the DA’s Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (DA-AMAS), the three-day expo gathers 60 exhibitors, including farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs), agri-entrepreneurs, government agencies, and private-sector partners, to showcase local agricultural and fishery products and facilitate market linkages.

Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said KADIWA provides producers with more direct access to consumers while helping make food more accessible and affordable.

“KADIWA ng Pangulo is an important part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the agriculture sector.”

“KADIWA ng Pangulo is an important part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the agriculture sector. Through KADIWA, we help farmers sell their products directly, allowing them to increase their income while providing consumers with more affordable and nutritious food,” Tiu Laurel said.

The expo features KADIWA Success Stories, including the nationwide implementation of the P20 ‘Benteng Bigas, Meron Na!’ Rice Project, as well as the Kusina ng KADIWA and Proactive Market Linkage activities.

The KNP Expo is held simultaneously with Agrilink, Foodlink, and Aqualink 2026, which showcases the latest farm machinery, postharvest technologies, livestock and aquaculture solutions, crop innovations, food processing technologies, and agribusiness services.

Assistant Secretary for Agribusiness, Marketing and Consumer Affairs and Head of KADIWA ng Pangulo Program, Atty. Genevieve Velicaria-Guevarra said the joint events provide a strategic platform to connect producers with markets, technologies, and potential business partners.

“Through our partnership with Agrilink, Foodlink, and Aqualink, we are bringing together market access, innovation, and enterprise development in one platform.”

“As we rapidly expand the KADIWA, we are also strengthening our assistance to farmers’ cooperatives and associations to help them access bigger markets and improve their competitiveness. KADIWA continues to reach more communities and create more opportunities for our agricultural producers to bring their products directly to consumers. Through our partnership with Agrilink, Foodlink, and Aqualink, we are bringing together market access, innovation, and enterprise development in one platform,” Velicaria-Guevarra said.

The strategy builds on the 2025 KNP Expo, which generated P2.0 million in sales from 77 exhibitors representing FCAs, agri-entrepreneurs, government agencies, and private-sector partners.

The KNP Expo aims to strengthen market access, improve farm incomes, and build stronger linkages between agricultural producers and consumers.

Admission to the expo and exhibition areas is free and open to the public.
