PACQUIAO TO BULACAN STUDENTS: VALUE EDUCATION

Senator Manny Pacquiao urged students in Bulacan to value education that will serve as their passport to a better future.

“Keep learning and keep growing. Learn and never stop growing. Invest in yourself to invest in other people,” Pacquiao told the 4,000 students at the Scholars’ General Assembly at the Capitol Gymnasium in Malolos City, Bulacan.

“Invest in yourself to invest in other people.”

The legislator, with Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando and Bulacan Vice Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado, led the distribution of scholarship grants to students from public senior high school, state universities and colleges (SUCs) and other private schools.

Under the “Tulong Pang-Edukasyon para sa Kabataang Bulakenyo,” the scholars each received P2,000 check for those enrolled in public senior high schools and SUCs while those enrolled in private institutions were given checks for P3,500 each.

Likewise, more than 3,000 scholarship applicants from the Bulacan Polytechnic College will be granted full tuition and miscellaneous fees for the whole school year.

Fernando said the program aims to help deserving students finish their education and be of help not only to themselves and families but also to the province of Bulacan.

The assembly is part of the week-long celebration of Singkaban Festival 2019 with the theme, “Sining at Kalinangang Bulakenyo, Dangal ng Filipino.”
