AUMENTADO: P36/KG BOL-ANON RICE NOW AT KADIWA

The sale of ₱36 per kilo “Bol-anon rice” continues in Bohol.

Governor Erico Aris Aumentado stressed this, ensuring affordable staple food for residents while supporting local farmers.

The rice is being sold under the KADIWA sa Plaza program at Plaza Rizal.

“The program continues to gain strong public support, with sales reaching over ₱150,000 in a single day.”

Aumentado earlier said that the program continues to gain strong public support, with sales reaching over ₱150,000 in a single day.

The governor emphasized that the price of Bol-anon rice has remained consistently stable for the past six months, providing relief to local consumers amid rising food prices in other areas.

He also noted that Bol-anon rice has a longer shelf life compared to ordinary commercial rice, making it a practical option for households.

Despite global uncertainties, including tensions in the Middle East that could affect fuel costs and supply chains, the provincial government remains optimistic that Bohol’s rice supply will remain stable through 2026.

“Reselling is strictly prohibited to ensure that more households can benefit from the initiative.”

Authorities reminded buyers that reselling is strictly prohibited to ensure that more households can benefit from the initiative.

The program promotes fresh, locally sourced, and budget-friendly products directly from Boholano farmers.

KADIWA sa Plaza is held regularly every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, encouraging families to visit and support the province’s agricultural sector.
