BONG GO CITES TECHVOC EDUCATION IMPORTANCE

Senator Bong Go, through his team, reiterated the importance of technical-vocational education in enhancing graduates’ employability and helping uplift communities.

In a message during the graduation ceremony of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) scholars he supported from The Winning Circle Corporation – LifeskillsPH, Go underscored the vital role of skills training in opening practical opportunities for Filipinos.

“Sa pamamagitan ng TESDA at iba pang training institutions, marami na po tayong natulungang magkaroon ng hanapbuhay at pagkakataong maiangat ang kanilang buhay,” the veteran legislator said.

The 25 scholars from Taguig City Training Center and another 25 scholars from Quezon City Training Center, both under The Winning Circle Corporation, completed their respective courses in Beverage Products Development Level IV.

Held at LifeskillsPH, East Offices Building, 114 Aguirre Street, San Lorenzo, Makati City, the ceremony also included the distribution of food packs to the graduates from the seasoned lawmaker’s team.

The senator encouraged the graduates to remain steadfast as they pursue their aspirations.

“Huwag kayong titigil sa inyong pangarap dahil ito ay simula pa lang ng mas magandang bukas para sa inyo.”

As part of Go’s continued push for accessible education, Go highlighted several legislative measures he has supported in the Senate.

He is one of the authors and a co-sponsor of Republic Act No. 11510, or the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Act, which expands access to education for out-of-school youth and disadvantaged learners.

The Student Loan Payment Moratorium During Disasters and Emergencies Act provides temporary relief to students with outstanding educational loans during calamities and emergencies. 

Go is also a co-author and co-sponsor of RA 12077, or the Student Loan Payment Moratorium During Disasters and Emergencies Act, which provides temporary relief to students with outstanding educational loans during calamities and emergencies.

In addition, he is one of the authors and a co-sponsor of Senate Bill No. 514, which seeks to amend Republic Act No. 10931, or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA), to further refine the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and ensure assistance reaches students who need it most.

Toward the end of his message, Go reaffirmed his commitment to public service.

“Ako ang inyong Senator Kuya Bong Go, patuloy na magseserbisyo sa inyong lahat dahil bisyo ko na ang magserbisyo at ako po ay naniniwala na ang serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo po ‘yan sa Diyos,” he concluded.
