Senator Bong Go reaffirmed his commitment to serve the Filipino people with compassion and urgency during the turnover ceremony of the Aloran Super Health Center in Barangay Lobogon, Aloran, Misamis Occidental.
“Hindi ko sasayangin ang tiwala na ibinigay ninyo sa akin. Magseserbisyo ako sa inyo sa abot ng aking makakaya, dahil bisyo ko ang magserbisyo,” Go said.
The veteran legislator previously supported the Aloran Super Health Center groundbreaking ceremony held last November 21, 2024.
The Super Health Centers, which the seasoned lawmaker continuously advocated for, serve as a middle ground between a polyclinic and a rural health unit. They offer a range of services including laboratory testing, birthing facilities, outpatient care, dental services, and a pharmacy, among others.
As the former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, he underscored that the initiative is a product of strong collaboration among the DOH, under the leadership of Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, local government units, and members of Congress.
To date, over 700 Super Health Centers have been funded nationwide.

“Itong DOH, kanilang proyekto itong Super Health Center i-turn over sa local government unit (LGU). Ang LGU na ang mag-ooperate. Isinulong ko ito noong 2021 dahil sa kakaikot sa mga lugar. Maraming mga lugar na walang Super Health Center. Ang mga buntis manganganak na lang sa tricyle dahil sa sobrang layo ng hospital,” the senator explained.
He reminded that while the initiative is sound and beneficial, implementation delays must be addressed immediately.
“Siguraduhing maging operational po ito at hindi maging white elephant.”
“Naging maganda po ang layunin nito at parati ko pong pinapaalala sa ating DOH na siguraduhing maging operational po ito at hindi maging white elephant,” Go added.
“Tandaan natin, minsan lang tayo dadaan sa mundong ito. Kung ano pong kabutihan o tulong na puwede natin gawin sa ating kapwa ay gawin na natin ngayon dahil hindi na tayo babalik sa mundong ito,” Go concluded.
